Many of Widney’s pupils transfer from Cranmore Infant School, however, the school welcome children from other Infant Schools. An Open Day and Evening are held in October for prospective parents to visit the school.  If these dates are not convenient, an alternative appointment may be made with the Headteacher to view the school.

Infant to junior transfer

All children in a Solihull infant school will receive an application form to transfer to their linked junior school.  They will receive this form in September of year 2.  If the application form is completed and returned before the closing date, the child is guaranteed a place at the linked junior school. Widney’s linked infant school is Cranmore Infant School.

Transfer to secondary school

All children in Solihull primary schools will receive information on how to apply for a secondary school place in July of year 5.  The places are offered in March when the child is in year 6.
